Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told his followers, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as beautifying our 12 acres, greeting visitors on Sunday, or preparing an activity for children.

Mission Outreach

Waypoint Christian Church is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in SENDING OUT mission-minded individuals throughout our community and also support missionaries with our money and with our prayers. Each year we purposely plan into our event schedule, outreach opportunities around Lancaster so we can connect with others for Christ.  Three to four times a year, we  particpate in      “Meal-Pack” events through Lifeline Christian Mission in Westerville.

Music

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music ministry. Some play instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in a special choir that occasionally put on performances.. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God. If you have a gift and can play a musical instrument, you are encouraged to use it.

Sound, Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of this church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. We also maintain an active Facebook    page for additional church communication. If you have computer knowledge, an ear for sound, or a passion for excellence in technology, we can use your help in our sound booth. We also have a need for those who can assist with our streaming worship.

Children

If you have a passion to serve Christ by teaching children, we would love to see you use this gift. Children need stability today! Why not help them become stable by assisting in laying a great foundation for their spiritual lives.  We invite you to us your skill-set to impact children in the not too distant future.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, during the morning service, we encourage you to pray  for the ministry of the Word. Throughout the week, you are encouraged to pray for your pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

One of the most important ministries we offer is our first impressions ministry. Studies show that a visitor will decide within the first 10 minutes of walking on our campus as to whether they will return. That’s why we need people who understand this and have a passion for making our guests feel at home. If you would like to become a part of this team, please see our Minister, Brad Seevers.

Men’s Ministry

We have an active Men’s Ministry at WayPoint. In March, we travel to Heath, Ohio for an area wide Men and Boy’s event which includes a soup bean dinner (that’s right, I said soup bean dinner), great music and outstanding preaching which challenges all our guys to a deeper walk with Christ.

Men’s Ministry continued…
In September, we have our annual Colossal Burger Night at the ministers home.    burgerWe enjoy burgers, beans, and baked cheesy penne pasta, cornhole and devotions while sitting around a campfire. It is always fun  watching how much some of you guys eat. All I can say is “Wow!” Imagine, 15-20 guys hanging out and swapping stories. Maybe you can join us next time.
Men’s Ministry
In April, we travel to Lakeville, Ohio to RLCA for a one-day Retreat where our men enjoy golf, steak dinner, worship and preaching.  There is nothing like hanging out with Christian guys who enjoy laughing and cutting up on the links.

Every other month, our men go to a local restaurant to enjoy breakfast or supper, as well as devotions by one of the guys. Maybe next time you can join us!

This is a very informal time so just come and relax as we connect with one another.

Women’s Ministry

Our women’s ministry plans several events throughout the year. This includes anything from Bible studies, small groups, outreach events, such a warinternational.org (Women at Risk International), Christmas gatherings, fellowship opportunities in local restaurant establishments, etc. To find out information about our next gathering,  contact Kim Seevers kimmyfae@gmail.com, or Carol Craft.
